Commit to attending all meetings. Rare exceptions are understood.

Potential members should be aware that this committee meets monthly during the academic year, and could schedule additional meetings as necessary. Meetings are generally scheduled for the first working Friday of the month from September to May, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, via Zoom.

A great deal of information is shared with the committee members and may require time outside of the meetings to read and/or research information.

Significant learning curve (as new member) requires commitment to study, learn, and attend meetings.

Applicants for this committee should have a general knowledge of the health care system and hopefully have some background that is relevant to the work of the committee in the areas of health, finance and law. This committee is a “hard working committee” that meets frequently throughout the year and there is a long tradition for its recommendations to be adopted as UI policy.
