Meetings are six times per year and typically 1 ½ to 2 hours long. Board members serve on one or two subcommittees and the majority of that work is done in the spring semester and includes 1-2 meetings. Good SPI board members will know about journalism and publishing, as well as support students’ First Amendment rights to choose content for Daily Iowan media.
